Local leadership and ownership are essential to fostering sustainable results across USAID’s development and humanitarian assistance work. USAID's Locally Led Development Initiatives (LLDI) are enhancing and advancing USAID’s ability to support local leadership and ownership. LLDI has a range of uniquely flexible programs and opportunities, as well as tools and research, that support local ownership throughout the development process. LLDI, previously the Office of Local Sustainability, is part of the Local, Faith, and Transformative Partnerships Hub in the Bureau for Development, Democracy, and Innovation.
